Tesla Roadster Will Claim Nurburgring Production Car Record - CarBuzz

The most likely car to take the overall production record, and possibly the overall fastest time of any car, is the 1,160-horsepower Aston Martin's Valkyrie. That record is currently at 5 minutes and 19.545 seconds and owned by Porsche's insane 919 Hybrid Evo race car.

Tesla's new Roadster was first seen as a prototype around two years ago and, as far as we know, it'll have three motors translating the power from a monstrous 200 kWh battery pack. Tesla claims it will sprint to 60 mph in 1.9 seconds and 100 mph in 4.2 seconds. At this point, it's hard to tell whether the top-spec will actually include a 'Space X package' with thrusters hidden behind the license plate or not.
