The next Roadster is lining up to be a total game-changer for the industry, especially when rival makes learn where the Roadster 2.0 will get its juice.

Much of Tesla’s success has come from its ability to innovate, and it doesn’t look like that’ll change any time soon. Indeed, the next Roadster is lining up to be a total game-changer for the industry, especially when rival makes learn where the Roadster 2.0 will get its juice.

In a TopSpeed exclusive interview, we spoke with a Tesla insider via email about where the California brand was headed in terms of powertrain technology. The tipster asked to remain anonymous, instead communicating via the handle “ElonsMinion,” but the revelations are startling, to say the least.

“Basically, we’re looking into new alternatives to the Superchargers we’ve been using for years now,” said the anonymous insider. “One of the most promising thus far has been a combination of hopes, dreams, and unicorn farts, which, when mixed, make for some truly impressive specs, as you saw with the Roadster debut.”

While ElonsMinion declined to go into detail on how exactly Tesla was transforming hopes, dreams, and unicorn farts into tangible motivation for the drop-top two-door, the implications are vast. With so many makes investigating hydrogen power, solar panels, biodiesel, and other alternative fuels, the idea of using a combination of hopes, dreams, and unicorn farts is new territory.

“Regular electricity just won’t cut it anymore,” said ElonsMinion. “There are limits we have to consider. Thankfully, the hopes, dreams, and unicorn farts combo is taking us to the next level.”
