The new Tesla Roadster has been spotted doing test laps at the Fremont factory test track.
Over the past week the car appeared in a number of locations across the UK revealing its design to crowds of fans.
Last month the car was also spied in California during a road test with Tesla’s Chief Designer, Franz von Holzhausen who shared a picture of the prototype with the caption “Afternoon cruise.”
Now, it has been spotted at the Fremont factory doing laps of the track.
One Tesla fan captured a short clip of the car petering around the track and then coming to a complete stop before rocketing away.
After a screech of the tyres, the car quickly flies down the straight.
Tesla Roadster was unveiled at the Semi truck launch event in Hawthorne, California in November 2017.
The car stole the show with its sleek new design and incredible specs.
Company CEO Elon Musk claimed that the car will be able to go from 0-60mph in 1.9 seconds - which would make it the fastest accelerating production car ever.
What’s more the car can go from-0-100mph in 4.2 seconds and on to a top speed of over 250mph.
It is powered by a 200kWh battery pack that will be able to achieve around 620-miles of range on a single charge.
In addition to this, the car has a better drag coefficient than the Bugatti Chiron - multi-million pound hypercar.
The vehicle has three separate motors - one powering the front wheels and two powering the rear.
It will be all wheel drive and will have torque steering.
The car has a 2+ 2 set-up which means that it can accommodate four passengers, although it is pretty tight in the back confesses Musk.
Prices for the Roadster will start at $200,000 which, when compared to current supercars with specs like these, is a bit of a steal.
It will go on sale in 2020.
